Alpha Tau Xi was founded on Unity, Integrity, and Perseverance. We focus on sisterhood, education, love and self care. Our goal is to show the world that like minded women can work together, while building strong bonds and uplifting one another. In a community that promotes individuality, we encourage every woman in Alpha Tau Xi to be herself free of judgment. Every sister is motivated to be the best version of herself, and to exemplify what it means to be a Medusa woman.

STONE AND FLOWER
Emerald is a life-affirming stone. It opens the heart chakra and calms the emotions. It provides inspiration, balance, wisdom, and patience. It is said to promote friendship, peace, harmony, and domestic bliss by enabling the wearer to both give and receive unconditional love.
The Black Iris flower is a great symbol of elegance, beauty and delicacy in a harsh, challenging environment. It captures the essence of the country, demonstrating that astonishing things can flourish even in the roughest of places. It means Honor, Elegance, Pride, Respect and Rebirth.

SISTERHOOD
Sisterhood to us is about bonding, building genuine friendships, and building a foundation. We strive to make sure everyone feels apart of the Organization and strive to become better at making this a solid foundation for our women to feel comfortable.
COMMUNITY
Communities that you feel apart of is truly hard to find. Espcially when every one you run into is different and a lot to handle in the SL Greek world. We focus more so on charities, giving back to the community, building organizations, educating, and growing the community.
BUSINESS
We want to build a foundation where Black Women are accepted in ways of business. It has been said we aren't wise enough to build and teach. We focus strongly on education, building business, and finances.
HEALTH
Health can be a downfall in our Black community. We grew up not knowing about getting the help we needed because we were forced to be strong and independent. Our sorority strictly holds this to a higher standard and focuses on mental awareness, depression, spreading love through the community, suicide, domestic violence, and helping the people.
